The person who writes the guides
Anthony Limpert runs Clickflame and writes the guides here. He put preferred-source links on the blogs Clickflame publishes, so the advice on this site comes from doing it, not just reading about it. More about him at anthonylimpert.com.
How we check facts
- Google first. Every rule about Preferred Sources comes from Google's own pages: the Search Central doc and Google's blog posts. We link them on every page that uses them.
- Dated. Each guide shows the day we last checked it against Google's docs.
- Said by Google, marked as such. When a number comes from Google and nobody can check it independently, like the click rate, we write "Google says".
- Tested on real sites. We use the link on our own blogs, including Clickflame, Supercanic and PPI Auto.
- No made-up proof. No fake reviews, no invented user counts, no testimonials we didn't get.
Corrections
If Google changes how Preferred Sources works, or you spot something wrong, contact Clickflame or call the number above. We fix it and update the date on the page.
What we are not
PreferredUs is independent. It is not made by, tied to or endorsed by Google. Google can't be paid to make you a preferred source, and neither can we. Only your readers can pick you.
Your data
The tool runs in your browser. We don't store the domain you type, and we don't run ads or tracking cookies. Full privacy note.
