Facebook recommendation calculator

Facebook Pages don't use 1 to 5 stars anymore. People say yes or no to recommending you, and your Page shows the percent who said yes. Here's how many more yes votes you need.

How Facebook rates a Page

In 2018 Facebook swapped star reviews for recommendations. A visitor picks yes or no and writes why. Your Page then shows the share of people who recommend you. Older star reviews may still show on some Pages, but new ones come in as yes or no.

A worked example

With 126 yes and 14 no you're at 90 percent. To reach 95 percent you need 140 more people to say yes with no new no votes. Every no you get raises that number, which is why replying to a no fast matters more than chasing new yes votes.

Your options with a bad recommendation

  • Reply publicly and fix it. People can change a no to a yes.
  • Report it if it breaks Facebook's Community Standards, like harassment, hate speech or spam.
  • Page admins can turn recommendations off in Page settings. That hides the whole score, the good with the bad, so it's a last resort.

Questions people ask

Can I get 100 percent on Facebook?

Only if nobody has said no. Any no keeps you under 100 percent for good unless that person changes it or it's removed.

Do Facebook star reviews still count?

New feedback comes in as recommendations, yes or no. What your Page shows is the percent of people who recommend you.

Can I delete a Facebook recommendation?

Not yourself. You can report one that breaks Facebook's rules, or turn recommendations off for the whole Page.
