Uber rating calculator

Your Uber driver rating is the average of your last 500 rated trips, so old ratings fall off as new ones come in. Type your numbers to see how many 5-star trips it takes.

How the Uber rating works

Uber averages the ratings from your last 500 rated trips. Riders don't rate every trip, so 500 rated trips can take a lot more than 500 rides. Once you're past 500, every new rating pushes an old one out. Early on your rating swings more because fewer ratings feed it.

A worked example

At 4.82 with your window full, you need about 209 five-star trips in a row to show 4.90, if the trips falling off were at your average. If the ones falling off include a 1-star, you get there faster.

What drivers say moves it

  • A clean car and a smooth ride beat any extras.
  • Confirm the name and the route at pickup.
  • Ratings are anonymous, so look for patterns, not one rider.
